This is the special retaining nut that holds the front hub to the spindle. It fits many Ford, Lincoln & Mercury vehicles listed below including 1994-2014 Ford Mustang all models. See the list below. If you are replacing the front hubs it is recommended to replace these nuts. They are listed as a one-time use part. It is the style that has small crimps at at the edge of the nut to keep it from loosening after you torque it.. They have a high quality black phosphate coating.
This listing is for a 2pc Set. If you need more just contact me for help. These are brand new in factory sealed packages. First posted picture is of the actual 2pc set. Additional pictures are representative only. This is the nut with the small crimps to ensure they do not loosen-up when you are driving! I have also posted a Ford diagram so you can see where this nut is used. It is at location #4 in that diagram. Pickup this  set now for your next front hub replacement.
Be aware to set correct torque:
Be sure to torque this nut to the correct torque spec for your vehicle. For the Mustang, the torque is listed to be set to 258 foot pounds on certain models. Be sure to get your torque spec before you start the project. Also if you don't have a big enough torque wrench you may be able to rent one at your local parts store. You will also need a 36mm socket to fit. Under or over-torque is a quick way to bearing failure or worse.
